Specialist Services Unveils Significant Facility Upgrades in Jebel Ali

Specialist Services, part of Centurion’s Middle East & North Africa region, is pleased to announce the completion of significant upgrades and a new indoor manufacturing facility at its Centre of Excellence in Jebel Ali, Dubai, UAE.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The enhancements include new cutting-edge machinery, advanced automation, and improved workflows to increase efficiency and boost production capacity, all while ensuring the highest standards of quality are consistently met. The upgraded facility will not only elevate the quality of output, but will also provide a safe and comfortable workplace for staff – a reflection of Specialist Services’ commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and employee well-being.

U.S. Army Common Base Shelters

Specialist Services has successfully completed the 20’ x 8’ 3-1 Expandable Shelters for US Army project

The US Army’s 405th Army Field Support Brigade Tele-Maintenance and Distribution Cell-Ukraine (TDC-U) selected Specialist Services, a Centurion company, to provide 3-1 expandable shelters to support their mission.

When deployed, each ISO container-based expandable shelter provides 475sqft of usable internal space and is complete with small power, data and comms. The shelters were configured to facilitate the sustainment of weapon systems being operated on the frontline in Ukraine, via remote, encrypted communication systems.

As an urgent operational requirement, we manufactured and delivered seven units in only seven weeks.

Specialist Services Exhibits at CEL 2024 In Poland

Specialist Services, part of Centurion’s Middle East & North Africa region, recently exhibited at Combat Engineer & Logistics (CEL) Conference and Exhibition 2024.

Held in Warsaw, Poland in March, attendees at the event included representatives from the government and military sectors in the region. Throughout the event, industry experts shared valuable knowledge about the latest trends in the sector through insightful seminars and discussions.

Specialist Services Exhibits at Defense Event in UAE

Specialist Services, part of Centurion Middle East & North Africa, recently exhibited at the first edition of Ajban Defense Industry and Technology Exhibition 2024.

The event took place in Abu Dhabi, UAE in February and played host to more than120 exhibitors. Among the hundreds of attendees were key representatives from a host of national and international companies serving the global defense industry.

The event provided a platform for exhibitors to showcase their capabilities and advanced technologies while allowing attendees, exhibitors and other key stakeholders to explore collaborative prospects. Generating over 1,700 commercial opportunities for local manufacturers, the exhibition directly supported the UAE’s national ‘Make it in the Emirates’ initiative and the national In-Country Value Program.

“The Ajban Defense Industry and Technology Exhibition gave us the opportunity to engage with potential clients and local manufacturers dedicated not only to advancing defense technologies and solutions, but also to build connections within the UAE. Our presence at Ajban enabled us to showcase our deployable infrastructure, contingency basing, and modular construction capabilities and meet key local partners from multiple UAE based offset companies in the defense industry,” said Kyle Bowles, General Manager – Defense at Specialist Services.

The event was a huge success for Specialist Services and a highly beneficial opportunity to showcase their growing equipment and service offering tailored specifically for the defense sector.

Specialist Services Supports United Nations Humanitarian Efforts in Key New Contract

A milestone humanitarian aid-related contract with the United Nations (the UN) has been completed by Specialist Services, a Centurion company, in-line with Centurion’s industry diversification ambitions.

The contract saw Specialist Services design and manufacture four ballistically protected ISO containers, to be used as part of a UN mission in the Central African Republic. Custom built for this contract, the Specialist Services team designed these innovative and purpose-built containers to meet the specific and unique requirements of UN missions. These ISO containers, designed with enhanced security and functionality,  are set to play a critical role in protecting aid workers and supporting the secure distribution of essential supplies in regions with elevated risk profiles.

This was an important contract for Specialist Services, as they continue to develop their offerings to meet the demands of global defense, humanitarian and intergovernmental organizations.

 

Specialist Services Does The Right Thing, Participates in Al Noor Family Funfair Charity Event

As part of our commitment to Doing The Right Thing for our local communities, Specialist Services, part of Centurion Middle East & North Africa, is proud to have recently participated in the Al Noor Family Fun Fair 2024 charity event.

Held by the Dubai-based Al Noor Training Centre, the Family Fun Fair raises funds that contribute towards the support and education of students with special needs, with the event amassing 2,000 attendees in addition to volunteers from across 30 UAE-based companies.

Embracing the spirit of inclusion and support, 46 employees from Specialist Services and their families took part in the 4km Al Noor Superhero Walk for inclusion and volunteered at the “PLINKO” game booth during the Corporate BazWar, with a contribution of AED 1,354 raised by their game booth.

Supporting the communities in which we operate is fundamental to our values, and the Specialist Services team have truly Gone The Extra Mile by continuing to support this important annual charitable initiative.

U.S. Air Force Mobile Guard Houses

Specialist Services has successfully completed the Ballistically Protected Guard Houses project

The U.S. Air Force Europe’s 48th Security Forces Squadron based at RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom, selected Specialist Services, a Centurion company, to deliver twenty-two ballistically protected mobile guard houses.

Each defensive position includes a 1.5m x 1.5m guard cabin, specially designed to be capable of withstanding armor-piercing ammunition. They feature defensive ring ports offering 360-degree coverage, integrated security spot lighting, and a trailer for easy deployment throughout the installation.

These units are designed to elevate the 48 SFS defensive capabilities and effectiveness, ensuring they can more safely fulfil their role as the integrated base defense force for the installation.

U.S. Air Force Deployable Field Armory

Specialist Services has successfully completed the 13’ x 8’ x 8’ Deployable Field Armory project

The U.S. Air Force’s 33rd Rescue Squadron based at Kadena Air Base, Japan, selected Specialist Services, a Centurion company, to supply a deployable field armory.

The armory is constructed of ¼” steel and proprietary security panels that provide secure storage for up to 200 weapons and associated equipment. The armory is complete with environmental controls, including air conditioning and dehumidifying, exterior weapon mounts and maintenance tables, and a NAPEC rated security HASP.

The armory is highly mobile and has a tare weight of only 9000lb, which
enables deployment via C-130 or MTVR.

Secure Working Environments

Specialist Services has successfully completed the 10’ x 8’ x 8’6” Secure Working Environments project

The United Nations awarded Specialist Services, a Centurion company, a contract to provide four 10’ x 8’ ballistically protected secure working environments.

The ISO container-based units serve as cashier’s offices and support the United Nation’s Multi-dimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic.

Meticulously designed for enhanced security and functionality, the units are set to play a critical role in humanitarian operations. The ballistically-protected design ensures the safety of aid workers and the secure distribution of essential supplies in regions with elevated risk profiles.
